-
- 1. Power problems. I don't think that this is the cause as I am
- using a 200W to power the AT1200 and 4xCD and IBM 540 HD and
- still get it.
-
- 2. I am using Power Computing Viper MK2 030/50 with an 8MB simm
- with the cover left of for cooling and still get it.
-
- 3. Don't know about hardware, software conflicts
-
- mike@summat.demon.co.uk was having the same problem with a Viper
- and after getting in touch with Power Computing they gave him a
- hardware fix which involved removing 2 components from the
- underside of the 1200's motherboard. This was a fix for a number
- of acc. cards, not just Vipers, and was supplyed by C= themselfs.
-
- Anyway the 2 components are E123C and E125C near the trapdoor.
- The M/board rev. he had was/is 1.D1 - mine is 1.D4
-
- These are the tiny SMD components and can be a b%&*%* to remove.
- (I work with them in my job). The AT1200's do not have these
- components and I have just sent of a snail mail to Power for help.
